Rain is back in the forecast tonight into Friday morning. A steady light rain is expected as a complex of storms to our southwest fades on approach. The leftovers will produce 1/4" to 1/2" of rainfall across the region from roughly midnight to mid-day. The second half is trending much drier for the area. The exception will be extreme NE Iowa where a boundary will spark off some afternoon/evening activity. However, it appears this activity will stay just off our southeastern edge.
Temperatures will struggle until some of those clouds and rain moves out. 70s will return for the afternoon, with readings darn near 80 in northern Iowa.
