Friday is going to begin the soggy stretch as we get into the weekend, thanks to a slow-moving storm system & stalling frontal boundary. The front will approach us from the south Friday, stalling out early on, before advancing north Friday evening/overnight. This is going to trigger a round of morning and late-day storms for our area, some could be strong to severe, with the severe threat greatest along and west of I-35 for Friday. The center of low pressure bringing this frontal boundary will slowly move north over the weekend, keeping the rain and storm threats in place. A few storms on Saturday could be strong to severe as well. We can't forget the soaking rain over the Friday-Sunday stretch, with upwards of 2-4" or more of rain expected!
