(ABC 6 News) - Nearly 6 months of work from the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crimes Enforcement Team led to more than a dozen arrests Tuesday.

With help from the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Rochester Police Department, investigators conducted a massive drug sweep dubbed "Spring Cleaning."

Authorities say 15 mid-level dealers were taken into custody in Rochester and Stewartville.

“It’s been a couple years since we have had a case involving [this many suspects],” said Capt. Vince Scheckel. “Mid-level dealers are going to be gone after as well as the higher-level dealers. Most of these targets were mid-level dealers, moving ounces of mostly methamphetamine at a time and grams of heroin.”

Officers targeted 27 people. Some were previously in custody while a handful are still at large.

Capt. Sheckel says during the initial investigation, there was a common link between dealers. However, the investigation spread to a wider range of people.

“Many of these people have fairly extensive criminal histories. It’s going to vary on what the Judge decides to do as far as holding them on bail or releasing them on their own recognizance,” said Capt. Sheckel. “We have 17 counts of First Degree Sales – which is the most serious. Then we ended up with five Second Degree Sales cases and three Third Degree Sales cases. We also had three charged with aggravated robbery from an incident that happened involving one of the CI’s.”

Those arrested during Tuesday’s sweep are as follows: Daniel Wateski, Trisha Severson, Shari Horsman, Richard Dessner, Julie Bigelow, Shannon Deheve, Michael Janvrin, Linh Chanhnoy, Larry Schaaf, Richard Betts, Zane Rose, Michael Nord, Toby Bruce, Gabrielle Henderson and Rebecca Nelson.

Most are scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.

Law enforcement is looking for Jenny Lynn Dee, Melissa Ann Gerads, Derreck James Zirbes, Alora Delia Janssen, Elizabeth Christine Vomhof and Christopher Jamael Harris.
