This past Sunday, we broke the record for the snowiest February on record, and with Wednesday's 5.8", we are securing that spot. So far 10 out of 21 days in February have had measurable snow, with 5 of those picking up over an inch! Now that the snowiest February record is in our hands, the focus turns to the snowiest season on record. So far, 61.4" of snow has fallen for the season, meaning all we need is 5.0" to break the record for 10th snowiest season, which was for the 1887-1888 season. What's the number 1 snowiest season? 85.1" set back in 1996-1997. 23.7" is what separates us from the number one spot, and keep in mind we still have a snowstorm possible for the weekend, one maybe next Tuesday, and all of March to get through...
