It's that time of year.  The Skywarn Storm Spotter Training classes have been set.  Here's the schedule for southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

If you're interested in severe weather and looking to volunteer, this is a perfect opportunity for you.  Be the eyes in the field and relay reports to meteorologists and authorities by providing live, in the field coverage during severe weather.  Classes will are free and will teach you how to be safe while actively spotting storms and what to look for during storms.  All classes are free and open to the public.  One online session is also available.  Classes will range in length from 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours varying by location.
