In-Depth at 6:30: Mayo Clinic Takes Initiative with Anti-Sex Trafficking

(ABC 6 NEWS)- Mayo Clinic employees are trained to see the signs of sex-trafficking, and is part of the host committee with the Super Bowl.

Vickie Ernste is a registered nurse in emergency medicine at Mayo Clinic and a member of the Olmsted County Human Trafficking Workgroup.

Mayo Clinic teamed up with Link to create a non-profit website that offers a place for people to help the cause.

Link is an organization in the Twin Cities that helps underprivileged youths and families

The organization offers a number of gifts that volunteers can give to victims of sex-trafficking.

Ernste said, "Often times these victims are showing up with what they have on their back."

The gifts are the bare necessities to help victims get back on their feet.
