Severe Weather Threat for Memorial Day

Our next round of severe weather is set to move in as we go into your actual Memorial Day. There will be a round of morning showers and thunderstorms moving through the area Monday morning but the real threat for severe weather will be begin in the late afternoon/early evening hours.

A warm front will be lifting northwards and settle somewhere in southern Minnesota/northern Iowa. That lifting warm front is where we will be focusing our attention starting in the late afternoon for storms to redevelop and some of those storms could be severe. All modes of severe weather are possible with any of these storms that develop especially storms that develop sooner rather than later.
