(ABC 6 News) -- A second trial date has been chosen in the murder case involving Alexander Weiss.
According to Olmsted County Court Documents, Weiss will face a jury for a second time on October 14, 2018. In May of this year, his first trial ended in a mistrial. The jury deliberated for less than 24 hours, before telling the judge they were "hopelessly deadlock".
Weiss has been charged with second degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Muhammed Rahim in January of 2018, after a minor car crash.
Weiss maintains he shot Rahim in self-defense.
