August is starting out a tad dry for the area, with the abnormally dry conditions continuing to be felt over parts of north central Iowa, and extreme south central Minnesota. In fact, we officially ended July 0.69" from normal in terms of rainfall for the month. A few showers may linger into the first half of Sunday, and after that we will have to wait a while, the end of next week, for our next rain chances. Right now, Thursday looks to be the better day, with a few showers and storms possibly lingering into Friday.
