(ABC 6 News)-- On Saturday morning the search continued for 46-year-old Andrew Nevenheim who was last seen Thursday evening.
Rochester Police Department sought the help of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), as they searched Bear Creek for the second day since Nevenheim's disappearance. It is believed that Nevenheim went into the water, but police say the reason isn't clear, "We have to first determine in fact if they're in the water, and we don't know that 100 percent at this point. We feel pretty confident but we don't know that with 100 percent certainty," said Sadauskis.
The search efforts were put on hold several times throughout the day due to severe weather but resumed after storms passed.
Police say they used dogs and another search device that they say would help filter through the water a little quicker.
"With each passing day, the chances of finding Nevenheim alive grow slimmer," said Sadauskis, but he said they are hoping to provide answers to his family.
"This is a horrific situation for them, and we hopefully can bring them some solace and give them some answers as to where their loved one is," said Sadauskis.
