We had a brief brush with winter on Friday, with a few of our local cities seeing a flurry or two, just the unofficial start to Winter. We get a couple of more "brushes" (at least it's not shovels, right?) with snow early next week, both Monday & Tuesday. Overall the snow potential is low, with a few flurries, maybe a dusting Monday, with the better chance at our first dusting of snow on Tuesday. Keep in mind though, there are a lot of factors at play this time of the year, unlike in the dead of Winter, such as temperatures. They will play a crucial role as to what kind of precipitation we see, especially Tuesday. If the track keeps the system a little more to the south than what the model shows for Tuesday, that will mean a better chance at the dusting or minor accumulations. If the system tracks a bit more to the north, that will bring in warmer air, resulting in more rain than snow.
