It appears Old Man Winter isn't done with us just yet, he will be making a cameo appearance on Saturday. Saturday's storm will start out rather soggy, soaking in fact, for the early and late morning hours. Around 10 AM, we'll see a transition from rain to rain/snow mix, before eventually all-slushy snow takes over for the afternoon and evening. Cool air coming into the system will be the reason for the slushy mess, however we are still pretty warm overall for this storm system, meaning it'll take a little while for accumulations to add up. Which they will, with 2-4" possible for southern MN, and a Trace-2" will be possible for north IA. Any accumulations we see won't last long, as we see sunshine and above-freezing temps Sunday and into next week.
