(ABC 6 News) – Four people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in rural Winona.
According to the Winona County Sheriff’s Department, around 10:54 a.m. authorities were called to the intersection of County Road 33 and County Road 6 in rural Winona, just south of Utica, for a crash.
The sheriff’s office said a silver vehicle was traveling southbound on County Road 33. The driver stopped at the stop sign then proceeded into oncoming traffic and was struck by a red vehicle traveling eastbound on County Road 6.
The 79-year-old driver of the silver vehicle, along with the 40-year-old driver of the red vehicle and its two passengers, a 37-year-old and a 73-year-old, were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office said no other details are available at this time.
