(aBC 6 News) -- Nearly 100 people ran to raise money for PossAbilities Saturday morning in Rochester.
PossAbilities is a local organization that serves hundreds of individuals of all ages with disabilities.
The 5K run took place near Little Thistle Brewing, raising money to continue the mission of PossAbilities, which board president Nicholas Dibble said is to improve the quality of life and employment opportunities of those with disabilities.
“There’s a few organizations here in the area that support individuals with severe disabilities and they’re all struggling right now. They’re struggling with funding, they’re struggling with staffing, especially with the unemployment rate in the area, and so it’s really a crisis in the area right now and we need all the support we can get,” Dibble said.
The fundraiser was sponsored by Active PT.
