RPD: Rochester Man Wanted for Alleged Domestic Assault

(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester Police are looking for a man they said "violently assaulted" a woman he knew in northeast Rochester.

According to Interim Police Chief John Sherwin, the woman was able to call police around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 after she said 31-year-old Michael Cozik of Rochester had been assaulting her. The alleged assault happened at an apartment on the 100 block of North Broadway.

Interim Chief Sherwin said the woman had injuries consistent with being choked. She told police Cozik at one point said, "I'm going to kill you," as she was being choked. The woman said she tried to leave, but Cozik held her back.
