UPDATE: 2nd Person Arrested in Connection to December Robbery

(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester teenager has been in connection to a robbery on December 21, 2017. 

On Tuesday, January 9 Rochester police arrested a 17-year-old after authorities were able to review surveillance footage from the night of the incident and conduct a follow-up investigation The teen was taken to a juvenile detention center. 


The day before, January 8, police arrested 19-year-old Lam Yieb also in connection to this robbery. 

Both Yieb and the juvenile are facing aggravated robbery charges. 


A Rochester man said he was robbed at knife-point Thursday, December 21.

Rochester Police Lieutenant Mike Sadauskis said dispatch received a call around 11 p.m. about an armed robbery that occurred around 10:30 p.m.

The 20-year-old victim told police he and another person were leaving an apartment on the 600 block of 2nd Street SW, when two men armed with knives approached them.

The victim said the men stole his phone charger and his wallet with $300 inside.

Lt. Sadauskis said they told police they may know who the suspects are.

The victim described the first suspect as a black man, around 20-year- old, 5’5” and 85 pounds.  However, the other person described the first suspect as being around 6’4” with a thin build.

The other suspect was described as a black man, around 20-years-old, 5’8”, 120 pounds with a thin build.  Both suspects were wearing black hoodies, according to the victim.
