(ABC 6 News) -- The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office is looking for someone who, they believe, tried to break into a home in the Weatherhill neighborhood in southwest Rochester.

A cleaning person went to clean a home in the area of Weatherhill Dr and Weatherhill Rd SW on Thursday morning, July 18.

According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, the key wouldn't work, so the person called a locksmith. The locksmith said the key wouldn't work because it looked like someone had tried to pick the lock, and part of the pick broke off in the lock. The locksmith also said it looked like someone had tried to pry open the doors.

Authorities got the call around 11:22 a.m. and went to the area to investigate. They spoke with someone who had been walking their dog around 5:45 a.m. that day and said they saw two people leaving the area in a blue SUV.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers
