(ABC 6 News) - Police are investigating after a Rochester teen says he was assaulted and victimized twice by the same man in just as many days.
The Rochester Police Department said they were called to the Olmsted Medical Center Emergency Room Friday afternoon to speak with a 16-year-old male who had a broken cheekbone and broken bones around his eye socket.
Officers said the teen told them he had been assaulted and that his iPhone and $60 was stolen from him.
The teen said Wednesday afternoon he met the alleged suspect at Cooke Park to purchase marijuana and that he had previously only had contact with the suspect via Snapchat.
The teen told officers a man in a black Chrysler sedan pulled up and that when he approached the car the man punched him in the face, knocking him out.
The teen said when he woke up he noticed his iPhone was gone.
Officer said the teen "wanted to do his own investigative work" and reached back out to the suspect, asking if he could buy his phone back.
The teen told officers they agreed to meet at Cooke park on Thursday and that he would pay $60 for his phone.
The teen said when he got to Cooke Park the suspect punched him in the face for the second time and took his money.
Police are investigating and there are no suspects at this time.
