(ABC 6 News) -- The cool temperatures are a reminder the Holiday season is fast approaching. The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) is asking for gifts to help make them make the season a little brighter for the 42 families in their care.
The organization released it's Christmas "Holiday Wish List”; asking for items like Lego sets, DVD's, board games and toys for kids of all ages. They just request gifts are new and in their original packaging, due to the immune systems of some of the kids.
“This time of year is hard for families because they are away from their homes and their families and the types of things they would typically be doing,” says Kristen Penz, the Director of Development at the Rochester RMH. “They are just grateful they can be the recipients of some of that love.”
RMH is also always in need of pantry items like food and toilet paper. Donations can be dropped off any day of the week at any time.
