Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Scott Behrens said the two suspects were identified through surveillance video.
Behrens said, after reportedly stabbing the employee in the leg, the male suspect fled on foot, stole a construction truck and drove to a nearby gas station and made two phone calls.
Authorities believe the man was later picked up by the female suspect.
Officers found a vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle outside the Broadway Hotel around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon and with a search warrant entered a motel room and arrested 29-year-old Caleb Siler and 31-year-old Anna Siegele, both of Rochester.
Behrens said Siler is possibly facing felony charges including aggravated robbery and 2nd and 3rd-Degree assault and Siegele is facing a possible charge of aiding an offender. Both were also wanted on apprehension orders out of Olmsted County.
The sheriff's office says the 52-year-old employee who was stabbed has been treated and released.
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office is looking for two people after a stabbing outside an adult business Wednesday morning.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched to Pure Pleasure around 7 a.m. after someone reportedly tried to shoplift from the store.
According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Sergeant Kirby Long, a man and woman triggered the antitheft alarms when they were attempting to exit. The store employee asked the two to approach the register when the man turned over a sample bottle of cologne.
The employee told deputies that when said he was going to call law enforcement the man ran out the back door.
Long said the employee chased the suspect into the parking lot where the pair began to wrestle and the suspect reportedly stabbed the employee in the thigh. Long said the man then ran around the building where the female suspect was waiting with a car.
The male victim was transported to Saint Marys for his injury.
Deputies said they are looking for an older, gold-colored car with a dent in the side and a possible broken out window covered in plastic.
Law enforcement described the male suspect as a "scruffy-looking" with facial hair, about 30-years-old, around 5'9" inches tall with brown hair.
The female suspect is described as "heavier-set" with multi-colored hair.
Long said deputies are looking at security footage to track down the suspects.
