When officers arrived they found a barefoot man who they determined was the victim.

The victim told officers he had met a woman on a “people meet” website and the two agreed to meet up at a downtown bar.

According to the victim, they had drinks and decided to leave for “intimate relations" and that the woman's friend offered to give them a ride.

The victim said the driver pulled over near Slatterly Park and his date suggested they take off their shoes so they could go for a walk and “feel the grass under their feet."

After walking for a bit, the victim told officers that the woman reached into his front pocket, removed her hand and ran back to the car that then drove off.

The victim said the woman had taken his wallet, which had $1,000 cash inside.

Police said they called the number on the website associated with the woman and were sent to the voicemail of a Rochester escort.

No arrests have been made but police say they have strong leads.
