Woman Accused of Punching, Biting Rochester Police Officer at Walmart

(ABC 6 News) -- Around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, a Rochester Police officer was called to Walmart on south Broadway to pick up some property that had been found. 

When the officer walked into the store, he heard a commotion and saw Walmart's Loss Prevention employees struggling with a woman. The officer jumped in to help and says the woman punched him in the face and bit his hand, drawing blood.

The officer eventually got the woman, 28-year-old Bonnie Booth, into custody. She's facing charges of 4th-degree assault on a peace officer, obstruction of justice, giving a false name to police, theft and disorderly conduct. 

The officer got medical attention, as per protocol in situations like this.
