(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester police were called around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11 to an alley off 1 Ave and Broadway for reports of a naked man running around the area, screaming incoherently.
Officers got there and said the man continued running and entered the construction site near 4 St. and Broadway. He then allegedly entered Mayo's Stabile Building through a loading dock door and was banging on walls and screaming.
Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin said officers were in contact with Mayo Clinic Security, who had cameras in the area. The man was in an entryway, and police eventually tased him to get him under control.
Capt. Sherwin said first responders believe he may have been suffering from Excited Delirium, a state that can be caused by drugs. The man allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine.
He was taken to the hospital.
