Rochester Man Accused of Punching 14-year-old in Head Multiple Times

(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester police said 35-year-old Wade Gordon Jr. punched and kneed a 14-year-old boy in the head multiple times, knocking the boy unconscious. 

Police were called to the 3700 block of 15 Ave NW in Rochester just before 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 1. Rochester Police Lieutenant Mike Sadauskis said Gordon lives at that home and came home intoxicated that night. He allegedly hit a basketball hoop when pulling into the driveway sending it into a garage door.

A 32-year-old woman came out of the home to confront him and Gordon allegedly got mad and started fighting with the woman and hit her. The woman told four children in the home to get their shoes on because they were leaving. 

The 14-year-old boy was helping the younger kids get their shoes when Gordon allegedly pushed him into a closet and punched and kneed him. 

The 14-year-old got away and went to sit on the couch. Then, according to Lt. Sadauskis, Gordon approached the boy, told him to 'stand up,' and pushed him into a window, causing the boy to drop to his knees. 

Gorden then allegedly punched and kneed the boy in the back of the head until he went unconscious. Gordon then allegedly punched the woman. 

She was eventually able to call 911. The 14-year-old was conscious when first responders got there but was still taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus by ambulance for lumps on his head and scrapes. 

Gordon was arrested and is facing charges of; 2 counts of domestic assault instilling fear, 2 counts of disorderly conduct, malicious punishment of a child, and 2 counts of domestic assault bodily harm.
