According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, a mother and two young children made it out of a home after a fire broke out Thursday morning. The two children were two-months and four-years in age. 

Capt. Behrns said the fire may have started in the chimney. Damage is estimated around $360,000.

(ABC 6 News) -- Elgin and Rochester fire crews responded to a house fire on the 5000 block of 48 St NE in Haverhill Township, just outside of Rochester, just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 8. 

According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, the caller reported a fire in the ceiling. Two people in the home made it out safely. Capt. Behrns said fire crews reported the top half of the home being engulfed in flames, with significant damage. 

The Elgin Fire Department was first on scene and requested help from the Rochester Fire Department. 

Red Cross has been contacted to help the family. 

The State Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause. No word yet on exactly how much damage was done.
