(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester police said 10-15 people were fighting outside the Half Barrel in downtown Rochester just after 2 Friday morning.

When police got there, a Minnesota State Trooper was already on scene struggling with one person. There were also a number of people fighting with someone in a car nearby.

According to Rochester Police Lieutenant Mike Sadauskis, when officers got there they were met with a lot of resistance from the people involved. People were interfering with arrests and were pushing officers. One officer got punched, but was okay.

After getting everyone's stories, Lt. Sadauskis said officers believe it all started when a woman recognized a man inside Dooley's Pub. The woman told police the man had been involved in a sexual assault against her a year ago in Minneapolis.

When they got outside, the man allegedly tried to get the woman to leave with him, but people she was with got angry and told him the woman would not be going with him. That's when the fight apparently started.

Two people were eventually arrested; 20-year-old Sherkhan Miller of Iowa and 20-year-old Lauren Mims of Rochester.

Miller is facing charges of 3rd-degree riot, disorderly conduct, and underage consumption. Mims is facing charges of 3rd-degree riot, 5th-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and underage consumption.

Police are continuing to investigate and more arrests are possible.
