(ABC 6 News ) -- According to court records, back in October, 49-year-old Laura Jackson was convicted of operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of .08 within two hours, a gross misdemeanor. In that case, police say she was driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.

Now, the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office has arrested Jackson on a DWI charge.

According to Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns, someone called authorities Wednesday afternoon saying there was an accident, and the driver was trying to leave the scene. When deputies got to the accident, on the 500 block of Byron Ave N in Byron, they say they saw a vehicle with two people inside leaving the scene.

In front of a home, there was a car that had gone over a curb, hit a tree, was stuck on a yard and had significant damage, according to Capt. Behrns . Jackson was in the passenger seat of the vehicle driving away and allegedly admitted that the damaged vehicle was hers and that she was driving it at the time of the crash.

Capt. Behrns said Jackson failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. He said she blew a .17 when she got to jail.

Jackson is now facing a 2nd-degree DWI charge, two counts of operating a motor vehicle with over .08 within two hours, driving after revocation and failure to report a property damage accident.
