(ABC 6 News) - Olmsted County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the thief who stole copper wire from a railroad crossing signal system in Marion Township on November 29.

The system with a railroad crossing arm is in the 4300 block of College View Road East. Deputies got a call on Friday that the crossing arm was stuck in the down position on the Canadian Pacific tracks. When they investigated, they found that four feet of heavy duty copper wire was missing from the mechanism and the signal arm was disabled. The estimated value of the wire is $400.
