(ABC 6 News) -- Rochester Police got a call on Tuesday morning, September 11 that a home on the 1100 block of 7 Ave NE had been burglarized.
The homeowner was away and had someone coming to check on the home. The house sitter went to check on the home and saw glass had been broken out of the front door and heard the shower running.
The house sitter called police. When they got there, officers went inside and found the shower running. No one was in the shower, but pillows had been placed over the drain, though there wasn't any flooding.
Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin said the burglar must have cut himself/herself when breaking into the home and left blood all over including on drawers and cabinets that had been gone through.
The only thing the house sitter noticed missing right away was a computer.
