UPDATE: 20-year-old hurt in fatal shooting now in stable condition

(ABC 6 News) - UPDATE: The Rochester Police Department said the 20-year-old who was shot is now in stable condition.

Police were not able to release the identity of the man Tuesday morning.

The Rochester Police Department has identified the 18-year-old killed in Friday morning's shooting as Mikayal Gordon. 

The RPD said Mikayal is from Rochester.

The Rochester Police Department said in an update that an 18-year-old was killed in a shooting Friday morning in NW Rochester. 

Officers were called just before 3:30 to the Villages at Essex Park. The RPD said two people were reportedly shot in one of the hallway. Both were taken to the hospital.

The RPD said the 18-year-old was declared dead at the hospital. A 20-year-old is in critical condition.

Police said both victims are from Rochester and say they believe the shooting stemmed from some type of fight or disagreement. 

A suspect has not been located and a description has not been provided.

Rochester police are on scene of a shooting in the northwest part of town. 

It happened just after 3:00 Friday morning on the 900 block of 41 St NW. According to Rochester Police Lt. Tom Faudskar, there was some sort of confrontation near the Villages at Essex Park apartment complex. Two people were shot. Lt. Faudskar said one person died and the other is in the hospital in critical condition. 

Lt. Faudskar said the suspect is a person the victims know, however police do not have a suspect in custody.
