Rochester police were called to an apartment at 3031 Towne Club Parkway SE in Rochester just before 10 p.m. Thursday for a report of a home invasion.

Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen said a 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were inside the apartment at the time when 18-year-old Nelson Soro came to their home. The 19-year-old allegedly told police he had arranged for Soro to come to the apartment so the 19-year-old could buy marijuana from him.

When Soro got to the home, Capt. Moilanen said he had a group of people with him and they all allegedly rushed into the home, two of them with guns.

The 20-year-old woman was hit over the head with something hard, such as a flashlight or pipe. Her face was bleeding and she went to Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys Campus.

A neighbor came out into the hallway and yelled at people to leave and they all took off.

Early Friday morning, Rochester police arrested three suspects including Soro. The other two arrested were 18-year-old Mohamed Mohamed and 19-year-old Ngor Mabor. All three are facing charges of 1st-degree burglary, 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and 2nd-degree riot. Mabor is also facing charges of fleeing on foot and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Capt. Moilanen said one of the suspects told police that the "drug deal" was reversed, and Soro was at the apartment to buy marijuana from the 19-year-old man in the home.
