(ABC 6 News) - During the snowy Monday morning commute, a car lost control and collided with a snowplow according to the Minnesota State Patrol. 

The crash happened around 5:59 a.m. Monday on Olmsted County Road 3, south of Highway 30 in the Rock Dell Township when the car lost control and collided with the snowplow while it was actively plowing.

The driver of the car, a 63-year-old man from Stewartville, was taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester with life-threatening injuries. 

The 34-year-old snowplow driver has no injuries.
