(ABC 6 News) - A woman working in her yard on Monday in the 600 block of 5th Ave SE in Rochester says a man threatened her with sexual assault. She told police she was doing yard work with headphones on when she realized a man was circling her in her front yard. She took off the headphones and then, she told police, he told her she was attractive and asked for a sexual favor. The 40 year old woman says she told him to leave, but he did not.

Police say the woman then took his photograph and threatened to call for law enforcement help.  That's when, she says, he threatened to come back to the house that night and rape her.  When he left, the woman called police and gave them a full description and showed them the photo.

A short time later, nearby, police arrested 38 year old Brandon Vandell Carmichael.  Police say he admitted have a conversation with the woman but denies threatening her.  Carmichael faces possible felony charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.
