FAA: Plane Blew a Tire During Landing at RST

(ABC 6 News) - 2:50 p.m. - UPDATE: According to officials with the Federal Aviation Administration, a preliminary investigation shows that a Beechcraft Baron airplane blew a tire upon landing at RST and that the investigation is ongoing.

1:17 p.m. - The Rochester International Airport issued a new press release stating, "No injuries were reported from the aircraft incident on August 20th, 2019.  The aircraft has been removed from the airfield.  The airport and both runways are fully operational at this time.  Thank you to the emergency personnel who responded.  This is the final udpate on this incident."

1:14 p.m. - According to an ABC 6 reporter at the airport, it appears a small plane is being towed off the runway.

12:35 p.m. - According to officials at the Rochester International Airport (RST), a "small general aviation aircraft incident" occurred Tuesday.

A press release states the incident occured around noon and that there "are no fatalities and those on board are being medically assessed."

RST said they cannot provide any further details at this time and that emergency crews are still assessing the situation.
