Police: Alleged Domestic Assault Victim Ran Down the Street Shoeless

(ABC 6 News) - A Rochester man is facing felony domestic assault charges after police say he punched, kicked, and choked a woman Saturday morning.

Police say, Jake Daniel Anderson, 26, and the victim was at his home in SE Rochester around 10:45 a.m. when they began to argue. They say Anderson began to strike and choke the victim and temporarily prevented her from leaving the home.

The victim reportedly made it out of the house a short time later and ran down the street shoeless and without her phone.

Police say Anderson followed the victim for a brief time but returned to his home when he saw other people walking around. They say the victim was able to run to a nearby friend’s home where she called the police.

Anderson was arrested at his home in the 800 block of 4th Ave SE without incident. He faces felony charges of domestic assault and domestic assault by strangulation.
