(ABC 6 News) - A man appearing for court in Olmsted County Thursday left with more charges than he came in with.

During his court hearing, 45-year-old Joseph Rodriquez of Rochester was verbally disruptive and argumentative toward the judge in courtroom one, according to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department.

While Rodriquez was escorted out of the court by two deputies following his hearing, he made a comment toward the judge and, while still handcuffed, began fighting the deputies.

Rodriquez was tased by one of the detention deputies and before he went to the ground, hit a 33-year-old deputy in the nose with his leg, as he was not shackled.

The other deputy, who is 40-years-old, suffered a thumb injury, but neither sought medical attention.

Rodriquez is set to face charges of aggravated assault to a correctional employee.
