(ABC 6 News) - According to the Rochester Police Department, a young woman was arrested twice for DWI within an 8-hour period.

Rochester Police Captain John Sherwin said law enforcement was called to the parking lot of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located on the 500 block of 20th Street southwest in Rochester, for a suspicious vehicle, around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman inside the car who appeared to be under the influence. Sherwin said officers also found prescription drugs.

According to police, the woman, 18-year-old Cameryn Hayft, was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. However, Sherwin said since this was her first DWI offense, she was taken to jail, and then released a few hours later.

A police report said officers were called to the 400 block of 20th Street southwest around 4:45 a.m. Thursday for a report of a car verses mailbox crash. Sherwin said officers responded and found Hayft again, in the same vehicle, and took her into custody for a second DWI.

Sherwin also said it's likely that Hayft could have ingested another substance after her first release.

Hayft is facing possible charges of third-degree DWI.
