(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester man said a gun was pulled on him early Thursday morning.

Around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, a 26-year-old man told Rochester Police he was walking from his home to the Kwik Trip convenience store near Valleyhigh Road NW when he started to cross a roundabout in the area.  He said a dark-colored, Buick-like sedan entered the roundabout, went around it several times and stopped.  The man said the driver began yelling racial insults at him and pulled out a black gun.

The victim said he took off running toward the Kwik Trip and spoke to someone in the store before calling the police. The victim described the driver as a white male, around high school age, with dark, slicked-back hair.  He said the suspect was also wearing a gray vest.

Interim Police Chief John Sherwin said they're talking with people who may have been in the area at the time of the incident. If you have information that could help police, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
