(ABC 6 News) -- A Rochester man is facing several charges after authorities said he was driving a vehicle while under the influence and lost control, causing injuries to his passenger.

20-year-old Gredyn Hatton-Kirkpatrick was taken into custody on Friday, June 15 following a crash on the 3600 block of 48th St. NE in Haverhill Township.  According to Captain Scott Behrns with the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Hatton-Kirkpatrick allegedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving and went into a ditch. Deputies said it looked like the vehicle had flipped, but Captain Behrns said Hatton-Kirkpatrick couldn't remember if it did.

His 16-year-old passenger suffered what appeared to be a broken wrist, said Captain Behrns, and several cuts and bruises.

Deputies said Hatton-Kirkpatrick appeared to be under the influence.  Captain Behrns said a search warrant was issued and his blood was drawn.

Hatton-Kirkpatrick faces several charges; including a felony criminal vehicular operation charge.
