June 04, 2018 06:46 PM

(ABC 6 News) - A missionary is bringing a message to Kasson after a police officer was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday morning.

After the news, Todd Pearson said he needed to do something. So, for a few hours every day since he's been standing at the only stoplight in Kasson, asking people to read his message of support.

With a sign that reads "Law Enforcement Lives Matter," Pearson said he does a lot of community outreach to the law enforcement community, showing officers he's there for them no matter what.

"The men and women of the department, whether it be Kasson or Dodge County, we're going to know him and it's going to impact them and I just wanted them to know that there are people out there that care about him and love them and are praying for them and appreciate what they do," said Pearson.

So far, no other information has been released about the Kasson officer, the case or his identity.
