We're on the warm side of this next one. Temperatures will be a bit too warm to provide any meaningful snowflakes or wintry mix for our next storm system which will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday.
With highs reaching the mid/upper 40s on Wednesday, it will set the stage for rain... and plenty of it.
Around 1/2" to 3/4" will fall across the region. At the tail end, temperatures start to tumble on Thursday. Around mid-day, a brief but light round of wintry mix of rain/snow will be possible, but not enough to present impactful conditions. Freezing conditions into Thursday night will cause standing water to freeze, but given this won't be a rapid freeze situation, roads should remain largely un-impacted.
