Our next big system still start to impact the forecast area beginning Wednesday afternoon by turning our winds out of the south/southeast and ramping up their speed. Those southerly winds will help move moisture northwards and we'll begin to see rain starting late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. Since we look to stay in the warm sector of this low throughout most of its time while overhead, our precipitation will stay mainly liquid.
There is a chance that we'll see some flakes mixing in as we move into the mid/late morning hours on Thursday. We're watching how far north the warm air extends as well as how quickly and how far south the cold air moves. If you were hoping for some snow, we'd need this low to pull down that cooler air earlier than the mid/late morning hours on Thursday which, at this point, doesn't look likely.
