(ABC 6 News) – After a two-year absence project community connect was at John Marshall High School Friday.

Project Community Connect is an event that’s designed to help out the homeless or people struggling to make ends meet with services and resources to get them back on their feet.

Project Community Connect is sponsored by the homeless community network of Olmsted County. The event was free to anyone in need of help.

They provided free lunches, haircuts, shots employment services and that’s just to name a few. If event didn’t have the service, they were looking for agencies at the event were able to get them connected with the right people.

“We’re excited to have an event where we can actually connect providers with the community and so if a person is falling behind on their bills, they just don’t know where to go or they need medical services or they just don’t know what resources are available they can come to this event,” said Larry More.

More says that this event wouldn’t be possible without their donors and volunteers.
