POW/MIA Recognition Day in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) - People across the country are honoring American Prisoners of War and service members who are Missing in Action. The annual recognition takes place on the third Friday of every September.

More than 82,000 members remain missing, according to the American Legion. 
We spoke to Chad Stowers, Senior Vice Commander of the Rochester VFW. He says it's important to think about families who are still missing loved ones.

A ceremony and vigil will take place tonight from 5:30 - 6:30 at Soldier's Field Veteran Memorial by the Minnesota POW/MIA Riders Association.
