PossAbilities Employment Awards Banquet

(ABC 6 News) -- PossAbilities held its annual award ceremony and banquet Wednesday for program participants with special needs, celebrating their accomplishments in the workforce.

This is the 22nd year the group has recognized these individuals with a banquet and award ceremony.

"Everybody wants to be recognized for the work that they do. We just happen to kick it up a notch and hold this banquet in honor of our participants, so they feel recognized," says Stacy Shones, the Marketing and Events Coordinator for PossAbilities.

The event is held every year in October--which is National Disability Employment Awareness month. Attendees receive a ribbon for their participation and four got special awards for success maintaining part-time and full-time jobs.
