(ABC 6 News) -- Despite life-saving efforts, authorities said 58-year-old William Robert Fuqua Jr. of Rochester was pronounced dead on the scene just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Around 6:30 p.m. on August 8, the Dodge County Sheriff's Office was advised of "a motorcycle that had filled and went into the ditch".
West Concord Ambulance, West Concord First Responders, West Concord Fire Department, Mayo One and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office all responded to the crash near 23362 County Road 24 in West Concord. The Sheriff's Office said CPR began prior to their arrival by a witness on scene.
The driver of the motorcycle, later identified as William Robert Fuqua Jr. of Rochester, was found unresponsive with no pulse. Despite continued efforts from all responding emergency personnel, Fuqua was pronounced dead on the scene.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Emergency crews were called to a single motorcycle crash that happened Wednesday night in Dodge County.
It happened near Berne off of County Road 24 close to the intersection of 237th Avenue. A motorcycle went off the road and rolled into a ditch. Mayo one was called to the scene. It's still unclear what injuries if any, the driver of the motorcycle suffered.
The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is expected to release more information about the crash.
