Captain Scott Behrns at the Olmsted County Sherrif's Office says that the missing person, Travis Jonsgaard, has been located and is safe and sound.

(ABC 6 News) -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a missing man who may be suicidal.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office is looking for 35-year-old Travis Jonsgaard. Jonsgaard's dad contacted the Sheriff's Office around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 2. His dad said no one had heard from Jonsgaard since he sent a text message to a family member around noon on Saturday, November 30.

Because of that text message, Jonsgaard's family is concerned about him and told authorities he might be suicidal.

While he's from Rushford, Jonsgaard might be staying at a home on the 6300 block of St. Bridges Rd in Olmsted County. Deputies went there and saw Jonsgaard's vehicle, but didn't find him.

He's believed to be driving a black 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Minnesota plates: 591NRX.

Olmsted County Sheriff's Captain Scott Behrns is asking anyone with information on Jonsgaard to contact them. Capt. Behrns emphasized that Jonsgaard is not in any trouble and did not commit a crime; authorities just want to make sure he's okay.

If you  have any information, you can contact the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office at 507-328-6800 or Crimestoppers online or by calling 1-800-222-TIPS.
