After initiating a search, the child was discovered in the water and rescuers began CPR. He was airlifted to the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. The release states on Sunday he had been taken off life support and died.

The search for Anderson continued and included the use of helicopter, boats and underwater divers. It was suspended due to darkness Saturday night but resumed at 7 a.m. Sunday, according to the release.
