Next System Arrives Wednesday

Next System Arrives Wednesday

February 17, 2019 02:36 PM

Well... technically very early Wednesday morning/very late Tuesday night but you get the picture. This system has consistenly shown up on our long range, and now short range, models. This is going to be a relatively weak low pressure system moving northeast on the backside of a high pressure sysem that'll sit overhead Monday and parts of Tuesday.

Expect travel delays/issues starting Tuesday night which may last throughout the day on Wednesday. Winds are going to be a bit on the breezy side initially but they'll die down throughout the day on Wednesday. Snow will be heavy at times, especially overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Speaking of snow it is still a bit too early to determine exacts however, since this system will be coming out of the southwest there will be a bit more moisture associated with this system. Early model runs suggest that an additional half a foot of snow may be possible across some parts of the forecast area but stay with ABC 6 News for the latest forecast.
