Big storms with major severe weather is unfolding across central Minnesota and northern Wisconsin this evening. The main batch of that acitivity will not be dipping our direction, but a secondary spoke of energy around a cold front moving in overnight will be the focus for storms for us.
The dynamics aren't as robust around our parts. Scattered t-storms will be possible beginning around sunset into the overnight. Threats will include isolated hail and isolated tornado risks in the first couple of hours after sunset. Past that, overnight storms won't be able to obtain the strength that's need to be severe. Overnight downpours will need to be monitored for flash flooding potential, though the focus for that looks much weaker than the last two nights.
